DJ Hero will honor the late DJ AM
After the passing of DJ AM over the weekend, Activision was put in a position on what to do with the work that the late DJ (born Adam Goldstein) has put in for the forthcoming video game. In a class move by the video game giant, Activision will keep the AM’s contributions in the game as well as use him in advertisements in order to honor and not exploit him. Hov and Slim Shady Rockin’ DJ Hero

USA Today has announced that Jay-Z and Eminem will be contributing their music catalog to the new DJ Hero game. In an interview with Rap Radar, Jigga discussed his involvement with the title, “DJ Hero will include my music, and I’ll be providing additional material as downloadable content by the end of the year…This is a game I can see myself actually playing. DJ’ing is fundamental to rap music, so it’s a great fit.” Purchasers of the limited edition version will be blessed with a limited edition controller, metal traveling case, a DJ stand and greatest hits CD’s from both artists. With the recent phenomena behind Guitar Hero and Rock Band, DJ Hero looks to swagger jack, introducing us to the all-new DJ Turntable peripheral. I guess we’ll see how strong DJ Hero is on the wheels of steel later this year.
