Surgical mask are being spotted more then ever amongst the crowds. With the scare of the Swine Flu only rising, people are taking every precaution necessary, even if it means wearing an uncomfortable, and even more unstylish mask to protect them and their own. While the comfortable factor may not be so easily solved, Illustrator Yoriko Yoshida made it possible to be creative and stylish while protecting your health. This innovative and clever idea has manifested into a line of surgical mask ranging from a variety of possible animated faces with names like Rising Sun, Mt. Fuji, and Octopus Beard. Swine Flu Fashion
Just because Swine Flu has people groveling in fear of Porky Pig, Babe and bacon related products doesn’t mean they can’t do it style. The WHO (World Health Organization) has raised the of the alert level for Swine Flu to 5, causing an influx in face mack usage and inspiring many designers and mask wearers alike, to add some personal touches to their face wear in the wake of this possible global pandemic. Swine Flu Update

The Swine Flu has become a serious problem that has already affected an entire nation. Mexican officials said, nearly 2,000 people have been hospitalized with serious cases of pneumonia since early April. Since April 13th, 149 people have died from those same pneumonia-like symptoms. Mexico has closed all schools nationwide until May 6th, in fear of the virus becoming an epidemic. All museums, nightclubs, and movie theaters will also be closed. Continue…
