Harlem Back on the Rise.
After years of tension and beef, Dipset member Cam’ron, and Mase have set aside their differences to make new music. Their new collabo, “Get it” is apparently one of many more to come between the duo who once rapped together in their Harlem-based group, Children of the Corn. Since their falling out in 2004 during a radio interview, which had since created a rift between the two, the emcees have squashed their grievances and even reportedly played a game of basketball last summer according to Missinfo.tv.
Jim Jones too put an end to his beef with Mase calling into Power 105.1, apologizing. “How you feeling? Hey man, that’s what’s up, I just wanted to tell you I tip my hat to you. I apologize for everything I did when I was younger. You can get my number from Self and sh*t like that. Pardon my French. Pardon, pardon me it’s monumental that’s why I’ma get off it. You already know Betha, it’s nothing but love. Self’s got my number, I’m jumping off the line. I’ll holla, Jones” he told Mase.
“Get it” features the Mase’s usual nonchalant flow, followed by Cam. The track also features one of Mase’s new artist, B. Rossi. With Cam and Mase back on good terms, and more music to come, it’s safe to say Harlem is on the rise.

Don’t Push Raekwon’s Buddens
In an interview with Billboard.com, Raekwon talks about his upcoming album set to be released on August 11 (“Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II”). He also sets the record straight on the recent Joe Budden vs. Method Man battle over rapping skills that took place on NYC’s Power 105.1 last week.
“I was hurt by Joe’s comment. He seems like a cool dude, but I don’t appreciate him going at Meth like that. He [Joe Budden] must’ve been feeling himself. You don’t play a legend who, like Method Man, did a lot for hip-hop,” says Raekwon. “Joe bit off him anyway. When you listen to ‘Pump It Up,’ real n*ggas know where that flow came from. I’m not a battle rapper, but I will skin a n*gga - I will skin anybody. And, in my opinion, he isn’t better than Meth, never. You gotta watch your mouth. Joe was out of character.”
It is clear that Raekwon has no qualms with expressing his sentiments on the situation.
The Chef, who has worked on ‘Linx II’ with top name producers including Dr. Dre, says he will start touring shortly to promote his album.

Exclusive: Fiyah on the Power 105.1 Airwaves
This morning, New Yorkers were privy to a heated battle over the Power 105.1 airwaves as Joe Budden and Method Man got it in over who’s got more skills (Today at least). Apparently, Joe Budden “can prove” that’s he’s better, “regardless of how anybody feels.” Listen to the dialogue that sparked off the vicious debate that is revving up the streets. Shout out to DJ Kut.
