GM Cans 50’s Whip

More than just his reality TV show has been cancelled. GM’s 50 Cent-sponsored Pontiac G8 sport truck has been canned as well.

Pontiac spokesman Jim Hopson released a statement identifying the recession and the company’s new reconstruction plan as the reason for the cancellation. He went on to say that the sport truck was not part of the company’s “long term vision for Pontiac.”

50 unveiled the Chevy El Camino-esque sport truck, at last year’s New York International Auto Show. The vehicle was due out this year.
