Snoop, Red, Meth and The Dude Tear Down Nokia Theater

Last night at the Nokia Theater, the Doggfather of the West Coast, Snoop Dogg came through NYC and got massive amounts of love, especially for being decked out in Yankee apparel. Joining Snoop was Method Man, Redman and Devin the Dude. Each set was chock full of hip-hop classics. Before Snoop’s set, he re-enacted some movie classics such as “Up In Snoop,” “Snoopula,” “Snoop The 13th,” and “Being Cordazar Calvin Broadus.” Hit the jump for more photos courtesy of Paul Birman

Lil’ Wayne Takes Plea, Faces 8 Month Bid

Lil’ Wayne is expected to accept an 8-month bid in jail over his alleged involvement with a loaded .40-caliber pistol gun found on his tour bus in 2007 while in New York. It is reported that DNA evidence on the firearms blew open the case and that if Weezy, real name Dwayne Carter, didn’t take the plea he faced a much longer sentencing.
Wayne is rumored to be willing to accept the deal to avoid a long term in jail over the gun. The same source said the term will begin in February of 2010 under the terms of the deal. “If he doesn’t plead, he goes to jail for a long time,” a source said.

2009 BMI Urban Music Awards Red Carpet
Annually, the BMI Urban Music Awards honor the talented people who bring you the greatest songs of the past 365 days. The Source was in the house to take it all in last night as BMI paid special tribute to the legendary master of P-Funk, George Clinton. The show included performances from Rick Ross, Plies, Cee-lo, Big Boi, Gipp, Janelle Monae, Keri Hilson, Mario, Sean Garrett and the legendary Bootsy Collins. Rev Run, DMC & JMJ’s Mother Speak At ‘Run DMC JMJ Way’ Naming
