BET Hip-Hop Award Cyphers
Say what you want about the BET Hip-Hop Awards, but those cyphers are starting to become legendary, and the bar was raised again last night. DJ Premier cut it up with Mos Def, Black Thought, Eminem, Nicki Minaj, Buckshot, Crown Royyal, Joe Budden, Wale, Nipsey Hussle, Gsan & KRS-One. Hit the jump to check them all out. Mos Def Selling Album Through T-Shirts

New marketing ideas are rare in hip-hop these days but of course innovator Mos Def is bringing the creativity to the marketing campaign of his current album “The Ecstatic.” The album has already been released but in a new twist Mos Def has partnered with clothing company LnA which owns the Invisible DJ Music Tee to further push the album.

Jonathan Manion Gallery Opening
Chronicled in the latest issue of The Source, Jonathan Manion is one of the greatest photograpers in pop culture. Taking photos were just about every entertainment publication, including ours, Manion has taken some iconic photos of the likes of Ice Cube, Lil Wayne, Lance Armstrong, Biggie, Jay-Z, DMX, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Mos Def, 50 Cent, Ja Rule, The Game and many more.
With DJ D-Nice on the 1’s and 2’s Manion opened up his exhibit at the Milk Gallery to a packed house.
