McNally Smith College of Music Introduces Hip-Hop Diploma

Starting in September 2009 in St Paul, MN, students can enroll in a Hip-Hop studies diploma program at the McNally Smith College of Music. The diploma can be completed within 3 semesters, which can be done in one school year. These courses will be taught by Hip-Hop practitioners and Hip-Hop veterans including honored MC Toki Wright.

In this program, students will be able to get a real understanding of what Hip-Hop is. These course will consist of the language of rap, music history, recording technology, rhythm studies and the music business itself. Students also get hands-on experience in the art of DJing and turntablism.
