In a very touching moment, Janet acknowledged the fans for their prayers and support throughout this ordeal. After Janet’s short speech, Ne-Yo and Jamie Foxx sang “I’ll Be There.”

T.I. & Beyonce Dominate

For the 2009 BET Awards, T.I. and Beyonce lead all other artists with 5 nominations each. Even though he won’t be in attendance, with the release of his latest platinum album Paper Trail, T.I. is up for Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, Video of the Year, Best Collaboration Viewers Choice nominations while Beyonce has been nominated for Best Female R&B Artist, Best Female and the Viewers Choice Award just to name a few. Lil Wayne, Keri Hilson and T Pain received 4 nods; Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Kanye West, Jim Jones, Trina, Yung Dro, Jasmine Sullivan, Lil Mama and Yung LA also received nominations. Ne-Yo and Maxwell have been announced as featured performers.
Jamie Foxx will host the 2009 BET Awards, which will air on Sunday, June 28th.

What’s Next? A Black James Bond

Daniel Craig, star of the current James Bond series, said in a recent interview that he thinks the world is ready for a Black James Bond. We love Craig’s rugged Bond, but would love to see a brotha play the suave Bond.
