Big Homie Hova And The New Kid Drake Surprise SummerJam
The Source was in the building last night for Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam concert out in Jersey. The line-up was pretty solid, but as always special guest and surprise performances are always expected. The end of ‘08 and so far ‘09 brought along with it a lot of new talent in the genre of Hip-Hop, as well as some veterans coming to dominate once again. All were represented at this year’s show coming out on the strength of artist already receiving love from the crowd. Along with Drake, some other surprises included, Lil’ Kim, Meth and Red, DJ Khaled and Maino.
Of course Big Hommie came through to dominate the Summer Jam scene. Jigga came out during Jeezy’s performance to do his remix of ‘I Put On’, and showed his dismay for the Auto-Tune trend with ‘D.O.A’ accompanied by T-Pain himself.
Mary proved to hold her own amongst Hip-Hop’s generals, especially when Meth came out and “Your All I Need” was done, proving to be one of the high lights of the show.
