Harvard U. To Teach Class On “The Wire”
At a panel discussion featuring several of the shows stars, Harvard University announced that they will be offering a course based on HBO’s former hit show, The Wire.The class will be taught by sociology professor William J. Wilson, one of the best-known African American history professors in the country.

Entourage Loves Hip-Hop
For those of you that are cable-savvy and not living under a rock, I’m sure you’ve caught an episode of HBO’s hit show Entourage (or at least heard of it). For all of you that haven’t, shame on you. Not only is the show actually entertaining, it also shows much love to Hip hop and the culture that embodies the music genre. From guest appearances to wardrobe pieces, Entourage definitely pays homage to the best that ever did it.

Kid Cudi Lands HBO Gig
Like fellow G.O.O.D. Music artist Common, Kid Cudi is trying his hand at acting. Cudi, who’s Man on the Moon: The End of Day album is due to drop at the end of the summer, scored a lead role in HBO’s new series How to Make It in America.

Entourage Returns
The boys from Queens to Hollywood are back for a sixth season starting July 12th. The fan-favorite HBO series have confirmed cameos from Lil’ Wayne, NFL star Tom Brady, NBA Players LeBron James, Steve Nash and Andrew Bynum. Hit the jump to check out the trailer for the new season.

Ekektra Records Relaunches
After 5 years off the radar, the once dormant label, Elektra Records is back in business. Warner Music Group has relaunched the label and their first release will be the soundtrack for HBO’s vampire series “True Blood” but they will also be releasing an album from Cee-Lo. John Janick, founder of Fueled by Ramen and Mike Caren of Atlantic Records, will head up the new operations.

Bow Wow on Entourage
Like most entertainers who got into the game as children, Bow Wow’s had to take steps to shake his “kiddie” image. For any fans still reluctant to drop the “Lil’” from his moniker, his stint on the fifth season of HBO’s likely did the trick.
Bow Wow guest-starred as screenwriter/comedian Charlie, a young talent with high hopes of getting his pilot picked up by a major network with the help of Vincent Chase’s manager, Eric “E.” One of the biggest highlights of the season is Charlie knocking out Seth Green (clip below), but the most talked about Bow Wow clip has to me his very adult sex scene with a porn actress (clip not below!).
