Guess Who’s Back
NFL Commish Roger Goodell granted Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick full reinstatement for Week #3 of this upcoming NFL season. This comes off the previous announcement that Vick would not be eligible to return until the sixth week of this season. Plaxico Burress’ Giant Mess
The troubles continue for Giants receiver Plaxico Burress who accidentally shot himself in the thigh Friday night (December 28) at the Latin Quarter nightclub in New York City.
Burress is charged with two felonies and could face the mandatory minimum sentence of 3 ½ years for each of two illegal firearms found in his possession as well as a possible suspension from the NFL.
As if the pain and embarrassment of shooting one’s self wasn’t enough, the Giants are also considering putting Burress on the non-football injury reserve list for the rest of the season, as opposed to the two week absence he is currently on, which could result in his pay being docked.
