X out of jail, and making an attempt at change!
After being charged and sentenced due to drug, fraud and animal cruelty charges, DMX was released from Maricopa County Jail in Arizona late yesterday, May 13th. Serving only 90 days behind bars, X is now a free man, and per his publicist, he appreciates all the love he’s been receiving while being incarcerated. “He has expressed great appreciation to the overwhelming amount of support he has received from his fans during this difficult time. He would like his fans to know that he is taking this time to focus on his personal as well as spiritual growth, and is looking forward to being released soon.”
Following suit with X’s spiritual growth it’s been reported that X will start a Christian TV show. “I’m gonna start a TV show called Pain and Perseverance…about how I can reach people that the average person can’t reach because I’m grounded,” DMX said.
While there were rumors circulating that DMX will feature on VH1’s hit show Celebrity Rehab, due to his constant struggle with drugs, his team is steadily denying any involvement with the show. While this could possibly be a positive move within X’s personal lifestyle, and an entertaining venture for us to watch, the idea has yet to be confirmed by either parties.

War on Drugs = Epic Fail
It’s no secret that The War on Drugs was a public policy fiasco. Aside from getting millions of brothers locked up, the laws have made the business much more lucrative. Recently, policy makers have stepped up to undo the damage by making reforms to the Rockefeller Drug Law. It’s about time. It’s been forever since bands like System of a Down, films like Traffic and every rapper under the sun have been shitting on the laws and calling for a more efficient plan of action. Below is a clip that puts the policy on blast (a little more articulately).
