Women in Hip-Hop: Lady of Rage

The Lady of Rage proved she was ruff, rugged and raw as the first lady of Death Row Records. After noteworthy appearances on Dr. Dre’s The Chronic and Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle, Rage garnered a rep as a lyrical female MC and would soon release her hit single “Afro Puffs” from the Above the Rim soundtrack. She released her debut album Necessary Roughness in 1997 and have a reoccuring role as bully Coretta Cox on the Steve Harvey Show.

Suge Got Buyers Shook

Death Row Records will be up for grabs on Jan 15, as it’s extensive music catalog will be placed on the auction block again. However, it seems many would be investors are apprehensive about bidding on Suge’s former property. According to the New York Post, Suge’s violent reputation and thug image has possible investors worried about taking up stock in the label which Suge lost to bankruptcy in 2006.
