Bow Wow Signs To Cash Money/Young Money

Perhaps another example of the power of Twitter, Bow Wow announced via his account that he has just signed to Cash Money/Young Money Records. The young veteran has been in quite some limbo as far as signing a deal, but now it seems that the deal is complete. After signing Drake, Kevin Rudolf, rumors of signing Omarion and others, along with the impending Hot Boyz reunion; is anyone stronger than Cash Money/Young Money right now?

It Ain’t Trickin’ If Ya Got It…

Within the Hip-Hop lifestyle, it’s been known that rappers occasionally trick on each other. Recently 50 Cent gave Soulja Boy a tour bus equipped with a studio so that he could finish the rest of his album while on the road performing. While this is a nice gesture on 50’s behalf, it makes us wonder if he had an ulterior motive behind it. I mean we all know before anything else 50 Cent is two things, an opportunist and a business man. So it seems if 50 is coming out of his pocket with money he must see a potential gain, right? Although Soulja Boy’s birthday did just pass, if 50 were doing this only as a gift, he would have given him a normal tour bus, a chain, maybe even cash. The fact that the tour bus has a studio in it means 50 Cent wants to ensure that Soulja Boy finishes his album soon, but why?

When Will Lil’ Wayne Have A ‘Rebirth?’

Lil’ Wayne never manages to keep himself out of the public eye. Despite not having a solo single out since ‘Miss Officer’ back in September 2008, his Young Money crew claimed a Billboard top 10 single this year with ‘Every Girl.’ Wayne also is enjoying the success of his protege, Drake, who has had arguably the biggest buzz of any debuting artist since 50 Cent. However, Lil’ Wayne’s controversial ‘Rebirth’ album has been pushed back yet again, this time until September.

Baby Faces Lawsuit Over “Birdman” Name

Finnish business man Jari Kuosma has filed a lawsuit against Cash Money Records, demanding over $200,000 in owed royalties in connection with Bryan “Birdman” Williams’ partnership with Lugz, Inc. Kuosma owns the trademark for the name “Birdman.”
