Suge Got Buyers Shook

Death Row Records will be up for grabs on Jan 15, as it’s extensive music catalogue will be placed on the auction block again. However, it seems many would be investors are apprehensive about bidding on Suge’s former property. According to the New York Post, Suge’s violent reputation and thug image has possible investors worried about taking up stock in the label which Suge lost to bankruptcy in 2006.

Diddy’s Inaguration Drama?

Diddy is denying Friday’s Page Six report claiming that he has been having some trouble getting tickets to the Inauguration.

“It’s hilarious,” a source told Page Six “Sean Combs is trying to get four tickets. He’s acting like it’s a party at Bungalow 8, like they should just let him in. He’s too cheap to pay and thinks he can just show up.”

A Diddy source later told TMZ that the story was crazy and that Diddy was given tickets because of all of his work during the campaign.

Fiddy’s Reality Is A Canceled Show

50 Cent may have The Money and the Power, but that didn’t translate into respect in TV Land.

50’s MTV Apprentice-like show, The Money and the Power has been canceled due to poor ratings. The purpose of the show was to find the next great Hip-Hop mogul and the winner was to be awarded a $100,000 investment from 50.

Throughout the portion of the series that actually did air, 50 was pretty hard on contestants, chewing out the losing team and giving them an embarrassing task after each challenge. It’s too bad we won’t get to see the how he disses the first runner-up in the finale.

Gunman Shoots Five After E-40 Show

A gunman shot and injured five people after an E-40 show in Denver over the weekend. The gunman opened fire outside of Club Vinyl as fans were leaving the Bay Ambassador’s show in the wee hours of Saturday morning.

There is no information about the gunman, who is still at large, or his motive.

We Hope This Isn’t True

We’ve all seen photos of Michael Jackson in a wheelchair looking unhealthy. However, many of us thought that may be more about him being Michael, than being sick.

Now, a new tabloid report says that Michael Jackson is in fact sick. Very sick. According to the report MJ’s vision and speech are suffering as a result of a rare lung condition.

Fiddy vs. Floyd

50 Cent recently told ESPN.com that he and pro boxer Floyd Mayweather got into a little scuffle over some money.

“He was going to do the match in WWE at Wrestlemania and he started telling everyone that I was going to be there. So everyone got all excited and started asking me if I was going to come, and I was like, ‘If you’re really getting $20 million for this, then give me some money.’”

Doug E Not So Fresh

The foreclosure crisis is turning into a high profile affair as Doug E. Fresh becomes the latest member of the Hip-Hop community to fall victim to the ongoing collapse of the US housing market.

The New York Post reports the human beatbox owes over $3.5 million in unpaid mortgages for his three Harlem area homes. On top of that, State taxes, American Express and an IRS-issued tax lien all add nearly another $500,000 to his debt.

Doug E shouldn’t feel alone though, as it seems everyone in the entertainment business has either been losing track of their payments or losing track of the number of homes they own.

Hamilton’s Damage Control

“To the thirsty ass bloggers, this is NOT beef…” The words of Charles Hamilton in a recent blog post rectifying the whole Soulja Boy situation that even we admit, though we participated in the instigation just a lil, was blown a bit out of proportion.

Hamilton continues: “He would even tell you that. He aint built to have BEEF. If he got goons, what the f*ck do you think I have? I’m from Harlem. My worst enemies would ride for me as long as I shout em out in a verse. If anything, two totally different artist with two hilariously different viewpoints are in the same position. Who makes more sense? Its not about who deserves it, because those that work for what they got, deserve what they got. And he worked. But so did I. And so do I.”

Well there we have it, it’s not beef.

Persia Faces Time

Persia, of VH1’s White Rapper Show fame, is asking fans to write to the DA on her behalf. She’s currently facing three and a half years of jail time due to gun possession charges. Along with the plea for help she explains the situation on her myspace blog:

“I was in a very abusive relationship and felt like I couldnt leave or else my family would be harmed…My mom bought a gun so that I could get from my front door to my car without being attacked or even killed. I was pulled over and arrested with the gun and am now facing 3.5 years.”

Viewers of the show might remember her for silly antics, such as dildo-wielding and n-bomb-dropping among others. But nobody wants to see another rapper behind bars. She is due for sentencing Friday (today, 12/12).
