Books: How To Survive Puberty At 25

Journalist Nina Bhadreshwar’s book How to Survive Puberty at 25 is a memoir, a diary and a piece of Hip-Hop history. Nina B tells her whole story, from her childhood struggles with family and anorexia in England, to her crazy years living in a gang neighborhood in South Central, LA while she worked for Suge Knight and Death Row Records. There, she became part of the Death Row Family of artists and executives, including Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur, even corresponding with Pac (that’s a letter from him pictured) when he was in jail. Sensing that shit was about to hit the fan, Nina left Death Row in 1996, just months before Tupac’s murder.

Another Tell-All

Did Mariah Carey have a secret four-year romance? If so, it’s not a secret anymore! Hip-Hop producer Damion Damizza Young is reportedly working on a juicy tell-all book that would include details of a sexual relationship with Mariah.
The author says Mariah’s lawyer has sent a letter reminding him of a confidentiality agreement he signed, in an attempt to block the release of Guilty By Association.
Carey isn’t the only person Young is dishing on. The industry insider is going to write about his experiences working with Dr. Dre, Jay-Z, Eminem, Quincy Jones, Suge Knight, Prince, Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G.

Rainbow Six: Vegas 2

Surprising no one, Ubisoft was able to mine the Rainbow Six franchise for another sequel. Following up on the hot original Vegas 2 once again has you armed to the teeth as Bishop, with the intent to rescue Las Vegas from the terrorist siege it’s been placed under. Vegas 2 has new enhancements (Eleven brand new weapons and camouflage equipment), and the A.I. has been upgraded to react differently to certain situations, so you’ll actually have to pay attention to Intel and strategize in order to outlast them.
Available for PS3, XBOX 360 and PCs.

House Of The Dead 2 And 3 Returns

Gamers are going into withdrawal as they come down from their high that was the pure fun of the Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles shooter. Fear not gamers, as you’ll get blessed with this classic Sega arcade franchise (at least for Wii owners). The game includes both coin-op versions of House of the Dead 2 and 3, still providing single-player and multiplayer campaigns. True the graphics don’t fully match its arcade counterpart, but the gameplay delivers the same intensity.

First Sunday
Chalk another hit up for Ice Cube. Despite a ridiculous storyline and clichéd feel good ending, Cube’s latest flick saw him take a backseat to Tracy Morgan who shines as crook Lee John. Thankfully, the overt church messages were minimal and scene stealer Katt Williams add numerous laughs throughout. Unfortunately, the disc only boasts standard extras like cast interviews and behind the scenes

Weeds:Season Three
Even with the death of one of the series’ best characters (R.I.P. U-Turn) the third season of this soccer mom turned D-girl brings a less dramatic take on the inner workings of the drug game. Instead of stinging social commentary that The Wire has made famous, we get the comedic takes on the pushers that get busted in suburbia. It has tons of audio commentary and a new list of marijuana recipes.
