Fort Hood Massacre
Twelve people are dead and other 31 were wounded in a mass shooting at Fort Hood, which is one of the largest military complexes in the world, in Texas on Thursday. One of the shooters has been identified as Malik Nadal Hasan, who was an Army mental health professional, has been identified as one of the shooters involved in the Fort Hood massacre. “When I realized that my selfish decision for love could result in some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part. I couldn’t be held responsible for telling them to go back. even if Chris never hit me again, who’s to say that their boyfriend would not. Harvard U. To Teach Class On “The Wire”
At a panel discussion featuring several of the shows stars, Harvard University announced that they will be offering a course based on HBO’s former hit show, The Wire.The class will be taught by sociology professor William J. Wilson, one of the best-known African American history professors in the country.

Love-N-Haiti Conference

On Friday, a gathering of Haitian-American celebrities convened in Manhattan to rally support for LOVE ‘N HAITI, a recycling project in Port-au-Prince that turns everyday trash into energy. Actor Jamie Hector (“The Wire”), actress Daphnee Duplaix (“One Life to Live”), and Mona Scott-Young (Monami Entertainment) encouraged New Yorkers to vote online for the eco-friendly program to win an international grant sponsored by the BBC World News.
