Well, isn’t this interesting? The beautiful and talented, Joy Daily of RealTalkNY will soon debut her documentary dealing with light skin and dark skinned beauty called “Complexion Obsession.” Below are a few words from Joy:
The entertainment industry has always been Obsessed with fare skin. Light skinned women have always been casted in lead roles and are put on a pedestal. Dark skin women are overlooked and usually casted as the stereotypical, over sexed, boodie shakers. Is it just business or is it much deeper?
Complexion Obsession finds out why in this controversial look at Hip Hop industry’s top Video Vixens including Melyssa Ford, Bria Myles, Vanessa Veasley, Suelyn, and Dollicia Bryant. White Rapper Paul Wall also gives his take on why the industry is obsessed with light complexions.
