Pump This

It seems like everything old is new again. And the Pump sneaker is no exception.

Last night the kind folks at Reebok relaunched the classic kicks in celebration of the Pump’s 20th anniversary. Held at super casual sports eatery Pop Burger in New York’s Meatpacking district, a select few were privy to remastered hi-tops, two-toned canvases and some newly designed joints that all had one thing in common: that orange pump button. A few athletes were in the building to support too, including Emmitt Smith and Dominique Wilkins. Hit the jump for more photos from the event.

Wow! Can’t believe the pumps are making a comeback. That is awesome. I remember everybody wanting a pair back in school. The pumps never actually worked, but it was just cool that you could do that. Happy 20th anniversary!
