I bet a million dollars that they just saw the list of most downloaded hip hop ringtones and put it as “The Hottest MC’s”.

Based on the criteria, the list is inconsistent. First they have raekwon (gr8 mc and put out a gr8 album).I don’t consider him one of the hottest today cuz his album sales weren’t that gr8, I never hear him on the radio, never see his vids on tv, and most of the newer generation of rap fans don’t knw who he is. If they have rae there, they shuldve also put mcs like busta,jada,budden,method,mos,redman but they didn’t so that’s just inconsistent. Second they counted carter 3 as material to be considered even thou it came last year. So if they count that,they shouldve aknowledged ti’s paper trail album cuz that album was both critically aclaimed and a huge commercial success. Third they have Ross who became a joke after wat 50 did to him, I’m not gonna deny the buzz he had but most of the buzz was negative. Fourth they gucci who has horrible lyrical skills. Fifth they forgot to mention em who had the most anticipated album of the year along wit blueprint 3 & carter 3, he also had arguably the best verse in the #1 rap song at the moment “forever” he also won the MTV award for best rap video. His album sold more than most mcs on the list, and it was also a very good album. He shuldve made the top 5 but the worst part is that he wasn’t on the list at all. Sixth they have drake and don’t get me wrong he definately deserves a spot, but if they are gonna put newcomers with a buzz and good material, they shuldve also put cudi & Asher Roth in there. I also think Luda shuld b there instead of fab or 50.

1. jay z- Bluebrint 3 , Def. A great album
2. Lil Wayne-lil wayne need i say more
3. Drake- crazy consistent, lyrically good
4. Kanye west- does everything, so hot
5. Gucci maine- even if u dont like him, he is hot right now
6. Young jeazy- he could go higher because honestly he doesnt just rap, he can make a story as well
7. Fabolous - he can rab, lryically nice as shit
8. Eminem- He can rap, he came out and was anticiapted, u can hate him all u want but mc, he will eat u up
