Premonition: Vernon Forrest Tweeted About His Death

This past weekend, former boxing world welterweight and light middleweight champion Vernon “The Viper” Forrest, was murdered in an apparent robbery attempt. Forrest was accompanying his 11-year-old godson who was visiting from Texas. As the boy went inside to use the bathroom and buy snacks, Forrest went to the rear of his Jaguar to add air to a low tire. At that point, a male suspect robbed him at gunpoint and fled. Forrest, who had a gun of his own, chased after the man to an area near McDaniel and Fulton streets. Shots were exchanged, police said. Giving up the chase, and turning to return to the gas station, Forrest was shot seven to eight times in the back, according to police reports.

A shocking development in this story, is that Vernon Forrest had a nightmare about his death almost a week before it happened and then tweeted about it.

It has been a rough summer for athletes and entertainers passing away far too soon. The Source sends it’s sincerest condolences to the entire Forrest family.
