The Billboard BAWSE
A correctional officer past, beefs with 50 Cent, and baby mama drama couldn’t derail Rick Ross from snatching Billboard’s number one spot for his latest release, “Deeper Than Rap.” Ross beat out Miley Cyrus’ “Hannah Montana : The Movie Soundtrack,” and Asher Roth’s “Asleep in the Bread Aisle” which came in at #2 and #5 respectively. Ross sold over 158,000 units in his first week and is his third time in his career with “Trilla” in 2008 and “Port Of Miami” in 2006.
On a sidenote, one can’t help but imagine what Asher’s “nappy headed ho” Twitter flub had contributed to his first week numbers. “Asleep In The Bread Aisle,” moved 65,000 units in its first week.
