Plaxico Burress Downfall Continues
Super Bowl hero Plaxico Burress continues to flirt with disaster. After being released by the New York Giants on Friday, reports have recently circulated about the former wide receiver being pulled over in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for speeding and cursing out a county sherriff.
Broward County Deputy Sheriff Donald Harris stopped Burress for reckless driving reckless and issued him a $150 speeding citation. The New York Post reports Burress responded by telling authorities he “personally” knew the sheriff, but once police urged Burress to step outside of his vehicle, Burress shouted, “F- - - you! You’re going to be in a lot of trouble.”
Fort Lauderdale police state Burress was very “violent and aggressive” during their encounter with the football player. After finally stepping out of his 2008 Toyota Sequoia SUV, Burress continued to belittle authorities stating, “You’re going to hear about this by the end of your shift.
Burress recently had his gun-possession case adjourned last Tuesday until June 15 and has been slapped with five speeding citations in the Florida within the month of March. It seems Plaxico hasn’t learned about the strong arm of the law just yet.
