“Blastmaster” KRS-One and “The BDI” Buckshot have recently announced that they’re hitting the road this summer on the 2009 Rock the Bells tour. The duo have been in the studio recording their untitled LP and have recently leaked a sneak peak at their new single “On The Grind” featuring Mary J. Blige.

This year’s Rock the Bells lineup is looking heavy with acts like Common, Nas & Damian Marley, Black Star, Slaughterhouse and Wu-Tang’s Raekwon and RZA joining the festivities. Last year’s show brought out a number of legends including A Tribe Called Quest to De La Soul, and from the looks of it, the 2009 showcase is going to be more live.

KRS will tackle hosting duties along with producing legend Pete Rock and politically conscious rapper Murs. Fans can expect the Buckshot and KRS-One collaboration album sometime this August.
