Help Save Six-Year-Old Jasmina

For 6-year-old leukemia patient Jasmina, the search for a bone marrow donor continues.

Rihanna and Kelly Rowland who have both been screened to see if they are matches, are calling the rest of the community to action. If Jasmina does not find a donor, she has less than two months left to live.

New Yorkers can participate in screening events Wednesday April 1st, from 10am to 6pm for both John Allan’s Midtown and John Allan’s Downtown Clubs in NYC. The screening is done by cotton swab on your inner cheek. Whether or not you are a match for Jasmina, you’ll be put in the National Bone Marrow Registry and may be a match for someone else.

African-Americans are especially encoraged to participate. Donations are welcome but not required.

I’m more than willing to get checked on this, my only concern is that I have rhuematoid arthritis. If that is not an issue then I will be happy to test.
