Harlem Heights Premieres Tonight

New reality show, Harlem Heights, premieres on BET tonight (Monday). Like The Hills and The City, the show follows young adults as they try to “make it” in the big city. The difference is these eight young adults are all college grads and African American.
Also, unlike many other reality shows, these people actually knew each other before filming started and weren’t thrown together just for television.
Cast member Brooke, an ex-girlfriend of Kanye West’s and an MTV employee, said she wanted to do the show to clear up misconceptions about her (we didn’t have any thoughts on her but, ok…).

Even though it does seem like a typical remake of certain MTV shows, I glad that this show so far, portrays african americans into a more positive light and not seeming like typical spoiled airheads. We’re more than that and its about time we do something about it….
