Run DMC Subjects Of Next Big Hip-Hop Biopic

Cheo Hodari Coker, who wrote Notorious, will take on the story of rap legends Run DMC next. Coker will adapt the authorized biography Tougher Than Leather: The Rise of Run DMC, written by the group’s former publicist, Bill Adler.
Producer Dallas Jackson told the Hollywood Reporter, “This will be a big movie about the 1980s hip-hop movement that took over the world.”

RUN DMC does deserve a movie on them, not just because of who they were, but the fact that they were one of the first hip hop groups to start hip-hop and help create it to be what it was today. The only question i have is that why are they getting a movie on them now and especially after notorious. Don’t you think they should have gotten the movie first before biggie???
