Air Marshal Asher? Not Really

Hip-Hop’s resident suburbanite Asher Roth may have prevented a serious incident while en-route to LAX airport Wednesday… at least that’s what everyones saying. But from the mouth of Asher himself, his bassist Chris Llewellyn was the real hero.
The Morrisville MC admitted on Cipha Sounds and Pete Rosenberg’s Hot 97 show that he didn’t even witness the incident. It was Llewellyn and a number of passengers who helped subdue and restrain an unruly man claiming to have a bomb on Delta flight 110.
Shortly before landing in LAX, passenger Lawrence Johnson “pushed [an] attendant to the floor and was trying to open the rear emergency exit,” screaming “Don’t come near me, I have a bomb. I have a bomb,” as reported by the LA Times.
Asher’s bassist Chris Llewellyn described the incident as he and five other passengers rushed to the aid of the flight attendants saying “He was struggling hard-core…I was holding down his arm. Somebody had a foot on his head. Everyone was holding down a different body part. He was going nuts. I was telling him to chill because he’s not going any place.”
Asher and his band were flying to LA from Atlanta for an appearance on “Last Call with Carson Daly.”
Johnson is currently being held for making false bomb threats. He did not have a bomb.
