Sonic Vs. Soldier

The exchange between Soulja Boy and Charles Hamilton continues.

Props to Soulja Boy for taking the semi-responsible route and not sending “goons to Hamilton’s Mama’s house,” But then again… was that an option he really explored?

It all started when Charles Hamilton said he hated being compared to Soulja Boy whose “marketing ploy” made his Sonic the Hedgehog lifestyle seem like a joke. Err?

Maybe the videos can clear things up. See what Charles Hamilton had to say about Soulja Boy (comments at 5:15 mark)

Check out Soulja Boy’s response after the jump.

You gotta give it to Souljaboy for having tight production and catchy songs. The sounds on Crank Dat are all like the most basic stock sounds on Fruityloops, meaning anybody could have made that beat if they had his musical ability. As a rapper, he’s whack as fuck, there’s no question about it. But, that’s why you don’t compare him to Nas or Jay-z. I’m not a hater, I’ll give him his props.

Now, Charles Hamilton wants to be a lyricist and BE compared to Nas and Jay-z and those types. With that in mind, I don’t know about this dude. I think he has potential and I respect his grind (dude put out like 10 million mixtapes this year) but nothing has really caught my ear, MY BAD SONIC.

They both have new music out. iSouljaboyTellEm and Charles Hamilton’s Pink Lavalamp. Check them out and make up your mind..

Soulja boy could keep his music for the south, he’s not a real rapper his music is basically dance music to dances off of its not real hip-hop but I still give him his credit his shit be poppin, but i wanna see something where its not based on a dance n see if he could be a real rapper.
