Santo and the production are hotter than Jay on this joint. He just aint what he used to be

If Jay wants to make songs paying homage to Brooklyn, let him do his thing. At least he acknowledges where he comes from. Brooklyn made him the man he is now.

Gr8 track Kanye! Basic, but detailed. You’re in a whole new zone. The new album is so over the heads! They don’t even see you at this point!

Jay needs to do what he promised and finally retire..he’s just making songs just cause and they serve no purpose, soundtrack or no soundtrack…he needs to fall back and let “B” take over from now on….
I am a deeply rooted Jay fan. However, I must say that some of Jay’s latest stuff has me listening with a raised eyebrow. Ultimately, Jay has nothing to prove anymore. He isn’t living pillar to post anymore; he has a wife who is equally, if not more wealthy than him; he has solidified his mark in various genres of music even linking up with Linkin Park; his mom is living good; he has endorsements; he made a mends with his pops before he passed away and he continuously sticks his beek on a feature track or lucrative business deal. Therefore, like it or not, Mr. Shawn Corey Carter could care less if we really like what he puts out at this point because there will always be someone who does. He is simply having fun right now and saying whatever wants to say on a track and like a wildfire, it spreads. Was “Swagger Like Us,” really that hot????????? Was anything about his verse monumental? Nope! Yet, it was catchy and though I know alot of people who hated it when they first heard it, they all sing along as soon as it drops on ya “Hot 97 everyday that’s my word!” Hate him or Love him; it’s Hovi BABY!!!!!!!!!!
