Rap City will be missed. Thanks for the good memories and showing good quality hiphop from the best in the 90’s. Now the music is more commercial with meaningless lyrics! Big Tigga was the best host in my opinion.

damn i missed it. But on a serious note, i think UNDASTUD is right with what he said. mainstream hip hop is dead, all that gangsta/pusher shit, 50 and rick ross and the like rhyme about is dead and gone with, not as many people are still feelin that shit. Rap city could have used a healthy dose of underground MCs because they’re the only ones still making real hip hop, and not that ghostwritten, cookie cutter market formula tracks the big labels force their artists to pump out.

RAP CITY WAS THE BEST WITH BIG LEZ & JOE CLAIR. SHE CAME ON THE SHOW WITH A HISTORY OF HIP HOP, AND A CREDIBLE DANCE, CHOREOGRAPHY RESUME & ARTIST RELATIONSHIPS. JOE WAS JUST BUCKWILD WITH IT & STRAIGHT FUNNY. LEZ ASKED GR8 QUESTIONS, AND HELD HER OWN AS AN INTELLIGENT WOMAN. PLUS THEY BOUNCED AROUND THE GLOBE REPPIN’ HIP HOP TO THE FULLEST. THAT’S WHAT I’LL MISS! RAP CITY, R.I.P!

i’m frum thu durty and i feel sum uv thu shyt ya’ll speakin on, we known for thu clubs round here, not too much of thu lyrical content of hip hop. this younga generation along wit thu media & record co.’s pushes this nu era of hip hop. rap city will 4 eva be n my heart, i got vhs tapes wit classik interviews from all the host, every day after shcool i had to get home and record rap city, like goin to church er sunday, it was a ritual. don’t blame thu souf tho. it’s whut theez kids like now days, but that’s where we come in and school them on what real hip hop iz. it’s up to the 80’s and 90’s gens to keep hip hop movin’, keep it on wax, freestyle battles, grafitti, break dancin’ all that shit bip. Fuk the media and record co.’s, we as thu hip hop gen. gotta keep it movin, 1…….slym

Oh no, its the end of days. Creativity is being strangled, mainstream pop threw the killa’ jab. Thank u for the memories Tigger, Clair, Big lez and others. My soul has however been permanently tatooed with rap - thank u Biggie, Wu Tang, Krs1, Kool G rap, Nas, Lil wayne, Kanye, Hova, Run Dmc.
