Big Boi Goes Undercover

Rapper Big Boi of Outkast is expanding his acting resume with a guest spot on the hit NBC show Law & Order Special Victims Unit. In the two part episode, scheduled to air November 25th, Big plays “Gots Money” — a rapper who becomes an undercover agent after getting caught up in an underground animal smuggling ring.

Law & Order SVU has been quite accepting of rappers dabbling in acting over the years. Rapper Ice-T has been a lead character on SVU since 2000 and last season Ludacris guest starred in two episodes of the Emmy award winning show.

More good news for Outkast fans - Big Boi and Andre’s temporary break from music is coming to an end as Daddy Fat Sacks is set to drop his second solo album, Sir Lucious Leftfoot: The Son of Chico Dusty as well as team back up with Andre 3000 to work on the next Outkast album in 09. Word is Andre is also working on an album – so, that’s three albums from the Outkasters in the next year.

the speaker box love below shit was tiiiiight though… If they make more material like that, I’m wit them keepin it separate. Idlewild was kind of a let down.

Idlewild is what happens when cats put acting before music. But i aint saying speakerboxx and love below werent hot albums in their own right, im bumpin “dracula’s wedding” right now(shits funny as hell, — peanut butter and jelly sandwiches), i just wanna hear more of them on the same track, cause thats when they really shine

I think BigBoi making an appearance on Law and Order SVU is pretty cool. The music industry doesn’t have as much money as it use to.
