Economy Doesn’t Hurt iPhone Sales

In the midst of an economic crisis, you’ve got to wonder, who’s buying all the iPhones?

Apple reported Tuesday that sales are up 26% from this time last year. While the growth was lead by iPhone sales, Apple also reports increases in computer and iPod sales.

In a company statement Apple CEO Steve Jobs said, “We don’t yet know how this economic downturn will affect Apple. But we’re armed with the strongest product line in our history, the most talented employees and the best customers in our industry. And $25 billion of cash safely in the bank with zero debt.”

The iphone may be popular in sales but some of Apple’s customers might be living beyond their means. Some people want to upgrade and keep up with the Jones or buy it to make themselves feel important. In my opinion, it’s a waste of money if I have cell phone that still works well without a single glitch throughout the few year I’ve owned it.

Americans live beyond their means. We spend what we don’t have. That’s why the media and the gov. shove loans, credit, and mortgages down our throats. Nigga, I owe 20 G’s in school loans . Now that’s real

20 G’s is a lot for me. They’re saying no because they want to. The infrastructure is collapsing because it was designed to collapse. Isn’t it odd that the stocks plummeted and the oil prices went down right before an election? The system is rigged. They are playing games with us to see how our spending habits change during hard times so when it gets better they can sell us more shit.
