Big Pun - The Legacy Continues

The mid to late ’90s saw the rise of formidable Terror Squad rapper, Christopher “Big Pun” Rios. But for many outside of his inner circle, there was little known as to the man behind the great lyrical veneer. Enter Big Pun: The Legacy, directed by Vlad Yudin and presented by The Source, the documentary elaborates on the life of the late rapper who’s physical size meant less in his wake.
Through first hand accounts from his widow Liza Rios, other artists including Method Man, Xzibit, Rosie Perez, Raekwon, Snoop and countless others, it becomes clear that Big Pun was and must remain an icon in the Hip-Hop history books. The director noted, “He was definitely a pioneer and a symbol for the Latin community. But one of the things he wanted to accomplish was to be remembered as one of the best [emcees ever], not just the best Puerto Rican emcee.”
The Source sponsored the world premiere of Legacy at this year’s New York International Latino Film Festival. Pun’s widow Liza Rios, Cuban Link, Young Berg, Nina Sky and others were all in attendance.
After the film we paid tribute to Pun by dancing to his hits all night at Corio NYC where plasma screens also played the film’s extended preview. — AIMSTAR

I hate to say this but when Big Pun died, Terror Squad died with him. Ever since there was bad blood between Fat Joe and Cuban Links, the Squad started fading out. RIP Big Punisher. You are truly missed.
