The Will Smith-produced Lakeview Terrace starring Samuel Jackson and Kerry Washington made $15.6 million over the weekend.

In the thriller Jackson plays a veteran cop who terrorizes his neighbors (Washington and Patrick Wilson) because he doesn’t agree with their interracial marriage.

Overall, it was a slow weekend at the box office. Righteous Kill, starring Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and 50 Cent, made a million dollars more than Terrace last week, but that was only good enough to come in at number three. This week, the film fell to number five.
