Jeezy And T.I. Top The Charts

Young Jeezy’s sophomore album sold 260,000 units in it’s first week. That’s not quite the 352,000 his debut “The Inspiration” sold, but it’s enough to put the follow-up “The Recession” in Billboard’s top spot.

T.I. holds it down on the singles chart with the for-the-ladies track “Whatever You Like” in the top spot for the third week in a row.

The Game’s “L.A.X” album came in at #3 with 89,000 sold while “Tha Carter III” from his “My Life” collaborator Lil Wayne continues to move coming in at #10 with 47,000 sold.

The Diddy camp may have the biggest disappointment on the charts. Donnie Klang’s album “Just a Rolling Stone” peaked at #19 on the Billboard 200 and #5 on the Hip-Hop and R&B chart. Not a bad debut for any artist, but Donnie isn’t just any artist. He’s the beneficiary of one of the hottest promotion vehicles ever - MTV’s “Making the Band.” Donnie’s MTB co-stars Danity Kane and Day26 both debuted at #1 on the album charts.

Come on SOURCE! “The Inspiration: Thug Motivation 102″ was not Jeezy’s debut album; it was his second. “Thug Motivation 101″ was his debut, hence the reason “The Inspiraton” had the “102″ behind it. “The Recession” is his 3rd album. Get it together.
