Kim Kardashian is without question the embodiment of twin nickels. The raven-haired socialite’s up-front attitude turned scandal into stardom. Not only is the Armenian eye candy the fodder for a million gossip columns and blogs, she’s now the focus of the reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians (which was just picked up for another season). With her 100-watt smile, bulky bank account, traffic blocking beauty and curves that’ll make a video chick hit the treadmill there’s so much to see and so little time.

What’s one thing about you that folks don’t believe?

That I’m super shy.

Did you know this when you agreed to do your recent Playboy shoot?

You should have seen me crying at the shoot. I swear to God I’m a lot shyer than people would think.

But they say if you’ve got it, flaunt it. And you’ve got more curves than a side street!

That’s why I wanted to do that— everyone is stick skinny, and I’m proud to not be. I wanted people to see that you can model and not have to conform. I mean I’m shy to walk out in a swimsuit with a whole bunch of people that I don’t know.

Thank God we know you. So with the explosion of your show, how are you handling your celebrity?

I’ve been so busy working [and] there’s so many kids in my family that if one of us got a big head or too out of line, the other ones would just put us in our place. I’m just having a good time with it right now.

What kind of a guy do you dig?

Someone that this world doesn’t really mean anything to. Anyone that can make me laugh is the perfect person. As long as someone is humble, not caught up, that’s most important. I like silly stuff. The movies, amusement parks, my favorite date in the world is having a bed picnic where we split all my favorite snacks in bed and watch TiVo.

This all seems down the earth. But on the real, could a regular guy actually approach you?

Of course. I’m friendly but it would have to be an introduction through a friend, “This is a good guy, give him a shot.” If I would meet one and we had an instant connection, then it wouldn’t matter.
