Michael Jackson Public Memorial July 7th at Staples Center
Via Yahoo -
LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The public memorial for Michael Jackson will take place on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, in Los Angeles, Access Hollywood has learned.
The “private and public memorial” will be held at the Staples Center in downtown LA at 10 AM, AEG Live president Randy Phillips told NBC News.
Phillips said all of the details would be finalized when he meets with the Jackson family Thursday afternoon.
“Everything is in preliminary stages except the place and time,” Phillips told NBC.
AEG Live is the organization which was behind Jackson’s planned 50-show stint in London.
Should capacity be reached for the nearly 20,000-seat stadium, Phillips said the overflow crowd will be able to watch the memorial on large screens at nearby Nokia Plaza.
Despite reports that the public ceremony will be a funeral, a source close to the situation previously told Access Hollywood executive producer Rob Silverstein it will actually be a memorial to the King of Pop, who died last week at the age of 50.

The entertainment industry has always been Obsessed with fare skin. Light skinned women have always been casted in lead roles and are put on a pedestal. Dark skin women are overlooked and usually casted as the stereotypical, over sexed, boodie shakers. Is it just business or is it much deeper?
Complexion Obsession finds out why in this controversial look at Hip Hop industry’s top Video Vixens including Melyssa Ford, Bria Myles, Vanessa Veasley, Suelyn, and Dollicia Bryant. White Rapper Paul Wall also gives his take on why the industry is obsessed with light complexions.

R.Kelly Responds To Internet Statutory Rape Allegations
A representative of R. Kelly released the following statement in response to an inaccurate report on MediaTakeout about a supposed police search of his house in the Chicago suburb of Olympia Fields.
“A wildly exaggerated and inaccurate report has been circulating on the Internet that Olympia Fields police showed up at R. Kelly’s house with a search warrant just before the singer left for his three-week concert tour in Africa last month and then searched the place looking for a missing 17-year-old girl.
“This is completely false. No police ever showed up at Kelly’s house with a search warrant nor was his house ever searched. It is also not true, as the unsubstantiated report claimed, that any such girl ever stayed overnight in Kelly’s house or that she had been there but left shortly before some mythical police search.
“Kelly’s attorneys will cooperate fully with any investigation.”

Farrah Fawcett 1947-2009
Farrah Fawcett has died after a long battle with cancer.
Fawcett, 62, died at St. John’s Medical Center in Santa Monica at 9:28 a.m. Thursday morning with her longtime love, Ryan O’Neal, and her friend Alana Stewart by her side. O’Neal told reporters waiting outside the hospital this morning only that “she’s gone.”
Her spokesman, Paul Bloch, says Fawcett died Thursday morning in a Santa Monica hospital. Her 2 1/2-year battle with cancer was depicted in the TV documentary “Farrah’s Story.”
She burst on the scene in 1976 as one-third of the crime-fighting trio in TV’s “Charlie’s Angeles.” A poster of her in a clingy swimsuit sold in the millions.
She left the show after one season but had a flop on the big screen with “Somebody Killed Her Husband.” She turned to more serious roles in the 1980s and 1990s, winning praise playing an abused wife in “The Burning Bed.”
